Quinnipiac Meadows: Eugene B. Fargeorge Preserve
New Haven, Connecticut
This nature preserve is located on Quinnipiac Avenue in New Haven, CT. It rests on the Quinnipiac River. It has two trails (River Walk and Meadow Walk). They are both a very easy walk. Be careful when you are walking though, because it seemed to have been the site of a former portion of a railyard. Along the trails (I only walked on Meadow Walk) there are bricks embedded in the ground and pieces of junk metal sticking out of the brush. The metal blends on. It is a public property. You get a nice view of a part of New Haven.
The Unintentional Quest For The Abandoned Portion We Didn't Know About

The Main Road
We later discovered the abandoned portion of an old rail yard.
